Applications for exhibitor spaces have now closed for TechxFest 2023 with well-known industry names Cadent Gas, Network Rail and Rolls Royce confirmed view a selection of the exhibitors here.

Almost 2000 school children will be coming to the first event of its kind on 28th September to learn about the broad range of technical career opportunities within businesses and universities.

Dr Kelly Vere MBE, University Director of Technical Strategy and Co-lead for TALENT said: “Thank you to all the employers who expressed an interest in TechxFest and who have confirmed their attendance at the brand new technician careers event.

“We’re really excited about the range of technical careers being showcased from apprenticeships in arts, exciting opportunities in engineering and rewarding roles in research, this event will highlight that technical careers are for everyone.

“The feedback from schools has been really positive too and places for school children are almost fully booked up.

“This is the first time we have delivered this event, and we hope that it is the start of future outreach activity that inspires the next generation of technicians.”

The event is delivered in partnership with the Research England funded TALENT programme, University of Derby, University of Nottingham, Derbyshire Festival of Business with support from Amanda Solloway MP.
